Fixes for flat surfaces anytime soon?

I'm attaching both STEP file and Fusion360 file of the basic drawing.  The entire thing was simply extruded from a single drawing.  The letters were put onto the extruded face and COMBINED as they were extruded.  

Paint the face inside the small frame and paint the top of the letters.  See where the colored face inside the frame falls.  I've used both Simplfy3D and Ideamaker.

It won't take the Fusion file..............   🙁  or the STEP file

I have put the object in your cloud.  It is the red and blue Proper Noise part.  Split it and try to slice it.  What am I doing wrong, if anything?

Can you please attach the STEP file? It wasn't attached to your previous post.

here it is.  Except, as I said above, I get the error message that the file type STEP is not allowed!

The Forum was just updated. STEP, stp, f3d, and x_b files should be allowed now.  Please try again 🙂

I think there is a problem with splitting this, a bug in the splitting engine. Unfortunately, the dev working on this issue just left on summer vacation. He won't be back until Sept 1....
