Part of getting started using the program is to watch the videos; however, to a newcomer, the speed at which she progresses through the tutorial is ridiculously fast! It is extremely difficult to follow what she is saying and doing on the screen. You have to be an auctioneer to follow her. SLLLLOOOWWW DDOOWWNN PLEASE.
Furthermore, in what I've seen what she's talking about and what's happening on screen aren't even in sync.
The video on the fill tool spent more time discussing how to save your favorite colors, and practically nothing on the tool itself, which as far as I can tell on a mac under Firefox doesn't even work.
Is Firefox working today? I can access with Chrome, but all my models are in Firefox. Clicking a link to either a forum post or SC3D generates the following error.

There is a new brush. Please ctrl+f5 to hard refresh and get the new update.
The fill brush is now so slow in terms of GUI response (it's position on screen lags the cursor movement by seconds it's pretty much unusable, and in reality for what I'm doing pretty much the only tool I'll be using is the Fill + Brush option, followed by Island replaces as I get stuff isolated. The fill brush was semi usable yesterday, today it's beyond horrid.
Even when it does work, the GUI representation of the cursor (the little circle with the colored bar on the upper left quadrant) disappears when you're over anything vaguely close to the colors it uses making it very hit and miss from a targeting standpoint. Trying to assign those last few remaining tri's to a different color results in sea of click, control-z, click, control-z over and over again praying you land on the magic spot that just gets those few tri's and doesn't flood everything around it.
Also, the Zoom is not nearly granular enough. You start getting close, then the next zoom in "STEP" is so much of a delta that the model clips your view. This needs work. The few levels of zoom are way too big of steps.
Need a keyboard shortcut or something to be able to pan the model in the view. The trip down to the button and holding that with the pop up while you drag a pan is kludgy as hell.
I've got a 3DCOnnextion Spacemouse Enterprise (and a SpacePilot Pro, and just the knob). Any chance of supporting these? I'm not a tablet person, I'm a cad guy.
Ctrl+right mouse button will pan. The help menu-> legend shows a list of all hotkeys.
I'll look into the speed of the fill brush. Scroll granularity and space-mouse support are already on the dev list.

Actually, both the fill and normal paint brush are laggy as hell.

Good system specs.
Do you have any other applications open at the same time?
If you do a clean restart, does it make any difference?
Also are you working at the machine locally? Or over zoom/virtual desktop/remote desktop?
Locally. Good grief you think I”d try to do 3d over a zoom call?
As for other apps, Rhino / PrusaSlicer / Safari / PCalc for RPN math for cad work. These are always open. Haven’t rebooted, but will although I rather doubt it’ll make a difference. I got bookoo available CPU, and haven’t even got within 24gb of hitting swap disk. All other apps are extremely fast. Lotsa cores to go around. Boot drive is all solid state raids and storage is a 48TB Raid 10 SAS. Seriously I don’t think it’s the box.
Hi,
Thank you for the update of the brush. For the very first time I could paint a model in full and with the brush. No problem of slow behaviour of the interface.
I attached the model. I'm happy to see that the tool is now working to create the STLs. It was not the case for me few weeks ago. That's the positive part.
I'm on Mac 11.2.2 and Firefox 86.0
So it's the first piece I achieved painting.
This new brush. Is it the ability to color match by pressing Shift plus left click?
