@arousseau, @jasonptp, @argo

There is a new brush. Please ctrl+f5 to hard refresh and get the new update.

Works really well =)

Good job guys!

Also the cutting is now much more reliable at first try.

@tjwitman

The new brush has an improved coloration when zoomed very close to the model while painting.

I just bought SimplyColor3D 2.0 and I'm trying to get started using it on my MacBook Pro with M1 processor.

Tried Firefox, Safari und Chrome. With all of them I'm stuck with "Establishing neural link".

Any advice for this?

You should have access. Did you try pressing ctrl+F5 to refresh the page (“Cmd (Apple) + Shift + R” on Mac)?

If that still doesn't fix it then please provide these details:

GPU (Make/Model):

Screen resolution:

Internet (connection & speed):

What applications are running at the same time?:

What is your current CPU/Memory usage?:

When you press F12 and look at the console output, are there any red errors while loading or using the functions?

@lewnworx

A patch was released last night that will allow you to use the older (faster) brush. See attached image for how to turn the old brush on/off.
We also improved the speed of the newer brush and the app generally.
It is recommended that you not run other GPU or computationally intensive apps at the same time as SimplyColor3D. From your list PCalc and Rhino may be affecting the performance of SimplyColor3D. Please let us know what you think of the new version.

Is there a way to tell what version is being used? Maybe have a notification in the app that a new version is available? Sometimes I leave the page open for days and don't necessarily want to refresh if there is no new version available. Not a high priority but would be a nice QOL improvement.

Good idea. It's been added to "the list".

I just used the new brush (Firefox Mac) and discovered, after painting a small part of a model (eyes), that I got small marks all over the model where I did not paint at all.

Is this a known issue or do you need more information to reproduce?

More details would be helpful. If you can send the original model and a screenshot that would help.

That's the model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4641311

Video of the issue as it is easily reproducible. At timestamp 1:00 you can see that the arm is still free of red. After painting the eye it got a red spot.

@argo

I tested that model and was able to reproduce the same issue. It seems to be related to the new brush and specifically the option 'Smooth edges'. Please uncheck the 'Smooth edges' option and see if that solves the issue. I think smooth edges should probably be unchecked by default, at least until the bug is solved.
