Great, disabling the "Smooth Edges" fixes the issue =)

@argo

I'm glad to hear it. Thank you for letting me know. I have added this to the bug list.

Hi,
I am a new user and maybe I just don't know the correct settings. But I seem to loose image detail after I apply colors to a model and the open it in PrusaSlicer. Is there some setting that I am missing to keep the saved (split model by color) files at the same detail as the original input file?

I have a screen capture that shows the difference but I cannot find how to attach it here. Can someone tell me how to attach the file?

I wish it was that simple. I am using Chrome and that option does not show up on my screen.

Ok, finally after reloading the browser a couple of times I can finally attach a file.

Here is a screen shot of the Ogre that comes with SimplyColor3D. On the left is a save from SimplyColor3d (Save 3D Model) which produces a .obj file. On the right is a SimplyColor3D (Split model by colors). The settings I used to save the file were: Color Penetration Depth 3.2mm, Layer Thickness 0.1mm, Output STL.

You can see the difference in detail on the feet.

Any assistance will be appreciated

My account is showing PAUSED, is this why I do not have the link?  Have tried a couple of browsers, clearing cache, etc.

It would really help if you could change the color of the brush ring so it is not lost when printing in an area of similar colors.  This  causes you to loose sight of where it is while moving to those areas.

Good idea. It's been added to the list.

That stepped effect is the result of splitting. It's to be expected. It will not change the result of the slicing in PrusaSlicer.

I have a similar problem - I created a 3d model of a screwdriver holder and uploaded it.  I painted in the labels that were indented on the model for the tools (e.g. "1.0", "2.5") -- so it was just the bottoms of the letters were colored in.

When I brought the two models into PrusaSlicer, it was just an unusable mess...the screwdriver holes in the holder were filled in, and the labels were out of position and poorly formed.

Here's a link to the zip file: https://www.dropbox.com/t/9lJQflbnB1yojFO4

Known bugs, or new ones?
