I'd like to use the second switch for a new function to run a (self)test command. The question is, did every customer get a second mechanical switch in their order?

It's a very common switch type so ordering one or more should be no problem, but it would benefit everyone who wants to add the new function to their machine as easily as possible ^^

yes, everyone has a second switch. They wear out after tens of thousands of swaps; we thought it would be less expensive to include another switch when compared to shipping hundreds of replacements eventually....

@bigbrain3d Ok, then I will make the planned upgrade a publicly available repository on GitHub when it's done.

I will add a note that the upgrade needs only some new printed parts, small modifications on the electronics, and that the spare switch is used. The user has to get a new switch themself if it wears out.

I will search for an easy replacement part on Amazon and link it in my description as a recommendation.
